Frederick Cammilleri made his name in the Goldfields then travelled down to Busselton and met the early settlers of Busselton. Kate Laymen was the daughter of one of these families.

St Davitts House took a number of years to build, so Kate would have known the house would be finished soon at the wedding in early 1895- maybe it was timed for when they returned from thier honeymoon in England?
The house was officially finished and opened in 1896.
This news article makes me wonder whether her mother drafted the notice- "perfect showers of rice and flowers..... "The bride is a universal favorite and the wish is general that she may enjoy a long and unclouded life of health and happiness". There is palpable joy and pride there.
There are so many threads that could be followed from here. The hymn book that was referenced was published in 1861. I am still looking for an old copy (There is a recreated version of it here for $200 AUD- worth a purchase to know what they were signing about?)
