St Davits house is open for guests wanting a unique place to stay.
Staying at St Davitts house is managed by Geographe Homes and is recommended for corporate groups or families wanting a spacious, grounded and quiet place to stay close to the beach and Central Busselton. A great place to jump off from to Explore the southwest.
It's a really wholesome unique place to stay.

Gardens and Event Space
St Davitts House may be booked for small events and weddings. The cottage, edible gardens are a work in progress- take a look at more recent pictures to see if it suits your event!

House Walk Through Tour
A few times a year- we ensure the house is available for a walk through tour. Bookings are essential to be taken through by the current owner, or a passionate local who knows some history.
The tour is approximately 30 minutes, for groups of up to 8 people.

Prospector: Frederick Camillieri
Chasing the Weight
By F.W.P. Cammilleri. Hard Cover, 84pp, illustrated.
From the Kimberley in 1886 to the Pilbara, Ashburton, Murchison, Kalgoorlie, Greenbushes and Donnybrook.
Frederick was a prospector who transversed alot of WA. He was still out hunting for a Sulfer Mine that he had seen when he was younger well into his 80s!
"FWP" was a pioneer prospector and the first man to dig and peg on the Golden Mile lodes.
His book is available / on the shelf in hardcopy at the Western Australia Museum
We also have a copy at the house, but we ask that it stays onsite.

Medical Professionals:
Maeve Monks
We are still working on verifying information about Maeve Monks and the other nurses that resided at St Davitts. Some verbal history indicates they were the first US trained nurses to reach Western Australia.

Hough and Donald
"The Life of Robert Donald 1867-1945"
with contributor C. J. Hough
"R. Donald was builder, one-time partner of Donald & Hough, Busselton, names hotels, railway stations, bridges, shops, schools, etc., in south west, Wyndham, Melbourne, Yallingup which he build. Describes his timber mill at Yallingup ca.1921. Notes on work at Caves House."
